Typology, Assigment #1: Financial Center.
1. Which building typology are you researching?
Financial Center.
2.Why are you researching this Typology?
I am researching this typology because because a financial center is a big and very interesting project, due to the iconic designs and scale of this type of building.
3.What specialty of this type of building would you like to research?
The specialty of this type of building i would like to research would be the fact that the design of the financial center usually makes it an icon of the city or country where it is located.
4.What are the examples that you have researched.
1. World Trade Center (New)
2. Tianjin Global Financial Center
3. 30 St Mary Axe
4. International Finance Centre
5. Shiodome City Center
6. Shanghai World Financial Center
7. Deutsche Bank Twin Towers
8. Burj Khalia
9. World Trade Center Seoul
10. First Canadian Place
5. What are your goals for this type of building?
My goal for this type of building is to make an icon for the city, not only for its eye catching design but for its very functional program. Therefore have form follow function and ending up with a great parti.
6.what are the program elements that you see included at this point in your building?
Program elements that are usually included in this type of building are the incorporation of a bank, or banks, the stock exchange centers and offices that come with that program element, public spaces such as restaurants and observation decks, plazas on the ground level, train stations and other transportation facilities.
